Chengetedza was established in 2017 as a skills development project in the area of visual arts, Fashion and handcrafts. To provide equal opportunities to youth and women mainly from disadvantaged communities as well as other talented youth and women. As practicing designers / artisans they bring a hands on approach into the trainings.
We connect youths and women in the arts industry so that they share ideas and do collaborations which helps them make improved products that can compete on the international market.
Every one of our artisans, designers, handcrafters or artists has a story to tell and these can be found on our facebook page “Chengetedza” which features the different members and their work. Take a look at the finished products and support them to earn a living

Why Ethical Fashion?
Sustainable products are becoming the accepted norm in the world today and attract more interest than ever before. From the moment the raw materials are extracted from the source to the time the final product is disposed of, there must be no permanent damage caused to the environment.
Zimbabwe with its vast natural resources has a great advantage of lower production costs. This programme is designed to assist craft producers in developing the expertise that allows them to keep abreast with continued changes in trends and designs especially that of creating eco-friendly products.
